Jolyon Palmer

New season gives us new changes and emotions, there will be new team Haas, also new racing driver in Lotus who will replace Romain Grosjean, the 2014 GP2  Series champion Jolyon Palmer from United Kingdom:)…..Actually we can say that Palmer is from racing family, because his father Jonathan Palmer was racing in Formula One from 1983 to 1989. Jolyon also has a younger brother Will Palmer who is driver competing with HHC Motorsport (team in UK motor sport:)) in the highly competitive BRDC Formula 4 Championship(single seater motorsport series based in the United Kingdom).

His racing career began in 2005 when he was fourteen he took part in the T Cars championship's Autumn Trophy (racing series for drivers between the ages of fourteen and seventeen years old:)). He finished two times fifth in that championship, Palmer also took part in a second Autumn Trophy, and dominated the championship by winning four of the six races. He took part in two races of the 2007 season.

Then in 2007 he moved to the series which his father, Jonathan, created nine years before. In debut season he scored two pole positions and two wins. He missed the final two rounds of the championship, because of injury suffered in a quad bike accident. Fortunately he recovered  in time for the next season in 2008 which took much better results:). He scored one win and eleven podiums along with three pole positions.

In 2009 moved to the Formula Two Championship. His best result was a sixth-place.                                                                                     He returned to the series in 2010, winning the                                                                                           opening race of the season at Silverstone.

Palmer made his GP2 Series main season debut in 2011 to the last 2014 season which was the most spectacular for him, lots of trophy, winning championship. Jolyon Palmer went down in history because of scoring the most points ever in a season (256).

In 2015 Lotus hired him to be the third driver. He made lots of free practices and then in the middle of the season Lotus announced him to replace Romain Grosjean.

I am so excited and cannot wait to see his racing skills and good results:):). Thank you for reading this piece and your time…see you next post
